William Collinge, PhD provides supportive psychotherapy and counseling for individuals, couples and families dealing with the following:

William's work employs principles of mindfulness-based stress reduction, insight-oriented therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, hypnotherapy, guided imagery and family systems theory. He has extensive experience helping people live with the psychological and spiritual impact of illness. He brings a deep respect for all spiritual and religious orientations and supports each person in finding their own way along their unique personal path.

His work is also informed by his years of experience directing research sponsored by the National Institutes of Health (through Collinge and Associates), to develop new ways of helping people live with the challengs of stress, trauma and illness.

William received clinical training at the Menninger School of Psychiatry, the Western Institute for Group and Family Therapy, the Gestalt Institute of San Francisco, the Alchemical Hypnotherapy Institute, and Harvard’s Mind/body Medical Institute. He received his MSW from the University of Kansas, and his MPH and PhD from UC Berkeley.
